Jan Kanemoto Jan Kanemoto has been a Real Estate Broker for 15 years. The high stress, high visibility world of Residential Real Estate is full of deadlines, and accountability. While I enjoy the sales and service industry, I have been drawn to a more creative arena.
“Copper Chose me…. I have always loved metals, and while watching a popular Home Improvement show became intrigued with a piece of copper art I saw on the show. I began researching the possibility perhaps I could create such beauty in copper. I spent months visiting many metal galleries. During my research, I met Stan Neighbors who was instrumental in finding the fine gauge copper I would need in creating my art. But finding just the right copper was only the beginning. Learning the process of weaving the copper and then achieving the many color variations through heat and chemical patina, have energized my creative side!”
Currently Jan’s “Native Metals”, are being exhibited and sold at the Megellan Center, 1400 S Fordham in Longmont, CO.
At this time, pieces are available by special order and pricing.

Stan Neighbors “Metal has been a part of my life since growing up in southern New Mexico. With training in welding and machining metal technology, I worked in the construction industry, as well as in potash mines, and oilfields.
Moving to Colorado in 1981, I soon learned Arc welding was ”old school” and began a career in Precision sheet metal and Tig welding.
I have owned Advanced Alloys, in Longmont CO. since 1992. I have always looked at metal in an artful way. To simulate nature in metal work has been my passion.
I use many processes including heat, and chemicals to achieve the various colors and shapes of my designs.”
Stan’s Native Metals are for sale and display at The Garden Shop at 668 4th Ave, in Longmont, CO. and the Red Canyon Art Gallery at 400 Main Street in Lyons, CO.
At this time pieces are available by special order and pricing.
